From this study it is concluded that these substances are easily available without control on the Internet, with only a limited number of sites offering oxandrolone, DHEA and androstenedione requesting a prescription. Particularly in the case of androstenedione, none of the websites requested a prescription. Products’ information for its consumption refer to performance benefits and increases in muscle mass, strength and endurance, but they do not do the same for their side effects.
